WHAT IS INVISALIGN?
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that can straighten your teeth through a series of clear, plastic aligners. As long as you wear your aligners for at least 22 hours each day, Invisalign can slowly but surely move your teeth to their optimal positions.
Unlike traditional metal braces, clear aligners can be removed for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. While most people won’t have any idea that you’re undergoing Invisalign treatment, someone with a keen eye may notice them. The good news is that Invisalign aligners are more discreet and comfortable than traditional metal braces.
Since Invisalign is a computerized treatment, you’ll know exactly what to expect and how long you’ll need the orthodontic aligners before you begin wearing them. Traditional metal braces are less predictable so you may experience some unwanted surprises with them.
Invisalign can also be used to protect the gums and reduce your risk of gum disease. Since its inception in 1997, Invisalign has been the preferred treatment for teens and adults.
