Porcelain Crowns (Caps)

A porcelain crown is a custom-made sheath that covers the tooth surface restoring the tooth to its original size and shape. A porcelain crown is placed to protect and strengthen a tooth that has too much damage to be restored with a smaller restoration. Other reasons for porcelain crown placement can include purely cosmetic enhancement or if the tooth has been treated with root canal therapy.
